Talmage Emerson Pomeroy

b. 1922, d. March 17, 1995

This photo of Mr. Pomeroy was graciously sent to me by his widow, Ms Bernice Pomeroy. Taken in July of 1991, professor Pomeroy looks just great.

Here is an excerpt from Bernice's letter that accompanied the picture.

"Tal loved his job of teaching. He was so proud of the photography club. He talked about how dependable you all were, and how hard you worked. So thanks to all of you for being part of his joy of teaching."

Allen Sterrett

b: December 20, 1923  d:June 20, 2004

Started teaching at Amphi in 1948. Obviously I was without ambitions because I stayed at Amphi until I retired in 1991 so that I would be with "my dear little wife" when she died.

I really loved teaching and consider myself rich in memories and friends I've made through those years. Yes, friends of my former students. How lucky can one be?

Lawrence Cross attends '97 Reunion

In his 90's, Mr. Cross received a standing ovation at the reunion.

David & LaVerne Davis Lawrence

were brought together by the 1989 reunion and married in '93. LaVerne works with children and is still performing. David is retired and doing contract work for the Flandrau Planetarium at the University of Arizona.

Chuck & Jeanette Tipton

moved back to Tucson in 1991 after 24 years of U.S. Navy duty station assignments in the pacific area. They currently operate a small electronic business and plan to retire in Hawaii.
